FAQs

Agreement to Terms

By making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to all the terms and conditions outlined in this page. These terms may be updated from time to time without prior notice. Please review them periodically for any changes.

HOW DO I MEASURE MY WRIST SIZE?

  1. Open your hand with the palm of your hand is facing up. Doing so ensures you get the actual size of your wrist when it’s the largest.
  2. Snuggly wrap a measuring tape around your wrist.
  3. Read the size on the measuring tape in cm.

There is no need to add allowance to your measurement as we have accommodated for it in our watch sizes.

Do you provide resizing services?

We provide complimentary resizing for watches with link bracelets. Please indicate your wrist size in the Special Instructions section during checkout. Any extra links removed will be returned to you.

For subsequent resizing, we will refer you to our trusted watch shop. Please note that all related services will be at your own cost.

For watches with metal band bracelets, resizing is not offered by us, as these are best adjusted in person. This will be clearly stated in the item description. We can refer you to our trusted watch shop for assistance, with services at your own cost.

Do you accept refunds, exchanges, or swapping of watches?

Please note that we do not accept refunds, exchanges, or swapping of watches based on condition, sizing, or change of mind. We encourage all customers to review product details carefully and ask any questions before purchasing.

Do you do any reservations?

We do not hold or reserve watches without full payment. Please take your time to consider your purchase carefully, but understand that we do not accept reservations. All items are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be sold to other customers at any time.

CUSTOMER CARE

I forgot to indicate my wrist size when checking out. What should I do?

Please email us at herra.vintageco@gmail.com or send us a DM on Instagram @herra.vintage with your wrist size (in cm) and order number on the same day of purchase.

If no wrist size is provided, the watch will be shipped at its maximum length, as stated in the product description.

I need to resize the watch after receiving it. Where can I do this?

Most watches can be resized at any watch shop, at your own cost. If you’d like, feel free to contact us for our recommended trusted watch shop. Please quote your order number when reaching out.

I’m buying this as a gift. What if I don’t know the recipient’s wrist size?

We highly recommend getting the recipient’s wrist size beforehand, as each watch has a minimum and maximum wrist size it can fit.

Please note that we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds due to sizing issues.

I’m buying this as a gift. Do you offer gift boxes?

Yes. Please DM us on Instagram @herra.vintage if you’d like to add a gift box to your purchase (available at a small additional cost).

Otherwise, all watches are shipped in our Herra Vintage watch pouch and a mailing box, which are also gift-ready.

I’d like to ship the gift directly to the recipient. Is that possible?

Yes. Simply enter the recipient’s address as the shipping address at checkout. Please include a note in the Special Instructions indicating that this is a gift.

If you’d like to add a handwritten note (up to 50 words), include the message there as well and we’ll take care of it for you.

WHY WAS MY ORDER CANCELLED?

In the unlikely but possible event that two customers reach the checkout page for the same item at the same time, the item will be allocated to the customer whose payment is successfully completed first. If another payment is completed moments later, we unfortunately have to cancel and refund this order as the item is already sold.

We sincerely apologize for this system limitation and any disappointment it may cause. As each item is limited to a single piece, we’re unable to fulfill the cancelled order, but a full refund will always be issued promptly to the original payment method.

Product Information

How do I take care of my watch?

Please refer to our Watch Care page for detailed care instructions.

Will you restock sold out pieces?

Our watches are vintage, and finding the same piece again in great working condition often comes down to timing and a little help from Lady Luck. Restocks aren’t guaranteed, but magic does happen.

Follow us on Instagram to stay updated on new releases and upcoming drops.

Where are your watches sourced from?

Our watches are carefully sourced from trusted channels in Japan, the US, and the UK, including private collectors, vintage dealers, and other reputable contacts. Each piece is thoroughly inspected and authenticated before being offered for sale.

Are your watches authentic?

Yes, all our items are carefully authenticated by our experts. In the rare event that a watch is found to be inauthentic, we will issue a full refund in the form of store credit — provided a valid certificate of inauthenticity is presented and the item is returned to us.

How are your watches priced?

Our watches are priced based on a combination of factors, including the brand, condition, design, rarity, year of production, whether original box and papers are included, sourcing and restoration costs, as well as current market rates.

At Herra Vintage, we strive to offer fair pricing that reflects the true value and uniqueness of each piece. Our goal is to make vintage watches accessible and enjoyable for both new and seasoned collectors.

How accurate are vintage watches?

Accuracy can vary from piece to piece in vintage watches. Unlike modern quartz or mechanical timepieces, some variation in timekeeping is to be expected. High to medium-quality movements may vary between 2–5 seconds to 10–15 seconds per day, while lower-quality movements may have deviations exceeding 20 seconds per day.

This level of deviation is considered normal for vintage pieces and is not regarded as a defect. As such, it is not eligible for a warranty claim.

Are the leather straps original?

Most of our watches come with brand new premium leather straps. Original straps are typically replaced because leather naturally deteriorates over time. We select new straps that complement the watch’s design while also ensuring better durability, comfort, and hygiene for the wearer. For higher-priced or luxury pieces, the original strap may be retained if still in good condition — this will be clearly stated in the listing.

Are your watches waterproof?

No, our watches have not undergone waterproof testing. We strongly advise against exposing them to moisture or immersing them in water. We are not responsible for any water damage that may occur.

Does the watch come with the original box and papers?

If a watch comes with its original box and/or papers, this will be clearly stated in the product description. If not stated, it means the watch does not come with them, and will come in our custom watch pouch.

WHAT IS THE YEAR OF PRODUCTION OF A PARTICULAR WATCH?

If the year of production or known history is available, it will be clearly stated in the watch description.

If it is not listed, the exact year is unknown due to insufficient information. Based on our experience in vintage watch collecting, we may be able to estimate the era in which the model was popular (e.g. 1980s–1990s), but please note that this is not 100% accurate.
